The Bachelor is an American reality television dating game show on ABC. The 18th season of The Bachelor premiered on January 5th, 2014. The season’s Bachelor featured 32-year-old Juan Pablo Galavis. He is a former Venezuelan professional soccer player who is from Miami, Florida. You may remember Galavis from the ninth season of The Bachelorette. Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock eliminated him from the show during that season. During his time spent on The Bachelorette, viewers fell in love with Juan Pablo. Finding out that he was going to be the next Bachelor was very exciting for Bachelor fans everywhere. Throughout the season, Juan Pablo’s true colors began to show. From his perspective, he was just “being honest”. The women on the show, as well as viewers, saw it as being extremely rude. He never seemed to understand where the women came from when they would confront him on issues they felt they had with him. All he would respond with was “It’s okay,” when in reality, it was definitely not okay. To top off the season, when it came down to the two final women, Clare and Nikki, he told Clare goodbye. After she, rightly so, told him off and left, Juan Pablo responded with “I’m glad I didn’t pick her,” on camera in front of the whole nation to see. Even though this may have been true, he did not need to express this out loud. When Nikki came to find out if she had been eliminated, Juan Pablo went on to tell her that he had a ring, but he was not going to use it. Instead, he asked if she would accept his rose, and they would continue on with a relationship. Nikki accepted. Four months after the final rose ceremony actually took place, Juan Pablo still had not told Nikki that he loves her nor has proposed, even when Nikki has told him that she loves him. Previous Bachelor, Sean Lowe, had a few things to say about this. He gave his final rose to Catherine last season. He didn’t understand how he couldn’t wait to say, “I love you” to Nikki. “The moment I knew, I could not wait to tell her that,” Lowe said about his new bride, Catherine. In conclusion, Juan Pablo Galavis has been called the “worst bachelor ever” on multiple occasions by producers and close sources. “Everyone on the show is just so over him and cannot wait for this season to be over,” a source connected to The Bachelor told E! News. Now that the season is over, everyone is very excited to hear that the new Bachelorette is going to be Andi Dorfman, who left on her own on the second-to-last episode during Juan Pablo’s reign as Bachelor.
