Also, there will be Salsa and Cumbia dancing lessons in the gym foyer for anyone who wants to learn how to do something new.
A multitude of contests will be held, including Minute to Win It games held in the commons, whose winners will receive redwing cash vouchers valued at 5, 10, 20, 40, and 100. On the stage there will a frozen t-shirt contest, with the winner getting a $5 gift card to Culver’s. The Army will be hosting a multitude of events in the fieldhouse, including basketball toss, a leadership puzzle, a t-shirt cannon, a machine where you can make your own dog tags, and other various activities. In the Redwing Gym, there will be velcro jousting and sumo suits. Other events include various board games in room 229, and video games in room 116.
There will be a bake sale in the commons, and the school store will have 100% value on Redwing Cash. There will also be signing-up for something called a Redwing Way Bank Account. So, you may be asking yourself, why are we hosting all of this? This event is to celebrate that we as a school met our goal of having less than 2500 tardies in first quarter. We finished at about 2100 tardies, compared to 3500 tardies first quarter last year. As we have achieved this, while having shorter passing periods this year, this is something we should all be very proud of. Good job, and enjoy the celebration Redwings! Story by: Alisha Ziegler
