South Football was on fire this past Friday away at De Pere High School. The Redwings started with an early lead after Andy Wildman made a touchdown with an extra point by Kyle Cady. With seven minutes left in the first half, Boris Ristivojevic runs in for a touchdown with the extra point being good, bringing the score 21 to 0. De Pere was able to score on South with four minutes remaining in the first half bringing the score to 21-7, and that’s how it remained for the remainder of the first half. End of the third quarter, South was still doing work as Robert Hoffman receives a touchdown for South, score now 28-7 with 2:30 left in the third quarter. With one minute and half left in the game, Hoffman scores another touchdown for the Redwings, and the extra point is good by Cady. That brought the score up, 35 to 7, and South held their ground till the clock ran out. This past Thursday South Girls Swim lit up the pool! Although the Redwings lost overall 72 to 95 against Green Bay Preble, there were a lot of personal accomplishments. Sophomore Lillian Stenz took first place in the 200 Freestyle while fellow classmate Maddie Bartz took first in the 50. Stenz and Bartz carried that drive into the 200 Freestyle Relay and took first also, with Junior Erin Landgraf and Sophomore Bonnie Priebe. Last week Thursday Boys Soccer took on Green Bay East away. Junior Varsity took their match and won 3 to 1. Varsity competition was pretty equal as they went into overtime with GB East scoring a goal to end the game 2 to 1. Junior Antonio Hocking scored for the Redwings. Update by Jesus M Rivera / Photo by Sara Becker
