This week at Sheboygan South High School the students and staff celebrated the success from the year and the exciting plans that lie ahead. On Wednesday, May 29th, the South High Community gathered in South’s auditorium to acknowledge the students who go above and beyond any expectations that were previously set for them. Awards were given to stellar students, athletes, teachers, and leaders. Along with the awards, a few students earned scholarships from the community and their future schools. Continuing on with the celebration, the seniors of South High School solidified their plans for after high school at the inaugural Signing Day on Thursday, May 30th. The event was hosted by guests Sam and Olivia Dekker in the fieldhouse, where members from the school and community filled the stands, eager to celebrate each senior. Seniors sat at tables with their fellow classmates who were continuing on the same journey with them, each signing their certificate to their future plans.

Mr. Jamie Berlin hugs his son Ethan Berlin, who made a surprise entry at the ceremony to award his dad with the Coach of the Year award. Mr. Berlin has coached over 60 seasons during his years at South High, one of which was in coherence with his son.
