April 27th, 2024 South High School will be holding its annual talent show, Feats & Follies. This event will be taking place in the school auditorium all of the fun starts around four o’ clock . Feats & Follies is a theatrical show put on at South High every year, starring young people here at South who have hidden talents, ranging from singing to acrobatic acts, this amazing show welcomes the community of Sheboygan to join together and applaud these young students.
Brian Sommersberger has been hard at work this year organizing this event, he says “I have been organizing the school talent show for two years, and over those years I have learned that it is extremely important to be organized as well as prepared. With that being said, the student body and I have been hard at work developing this year’s theme which is Murder Mystery. There are lots of specific deadlines and important roles that the students do to help organize this event. Right now currently there are about 40 students helping organize Feats & Follies, but we are always looking for more help so if anyone is interested in helping they can come talk to me.”
This talent show is a big deal to the students in the south. Many of the students attend the talent show and Feats & Follies is all the buzz at South High right now. About 70% of the student body here at South High said that they planned on attending the talent show.
Julius Spivery (‘24) is one of the students that is helping to organize the school’s talent show. Spivery is also one of the four hosts putting on the show. He is very hopeful for this event. Spivery says, “ I think Feats & Follies is going to be a huge success. We have been preparing for the talent show since the beginning of the 23-24 school year. Everyone has worked so hard and continues to do so, I know everythi
ng is going to fall into place and we will put on a great show.”
Getting in front of a large crowd can be nerve racking, many of the students performing in the show are nervous but definitely excited as well, Junior Kayla Wesaw (‘25) is performing in the synchronized swimming act and she says “I am nervous but also very excited because we have all put in countless hours of practice after school to put on a great show.”
The south high student body has clearly worked hard throughout the year and will continue to work hard to make this a successful event.
