Community Service Day
November 27, 2019
The fourth annual Service Day was held at South High School on Wednesday, November 27. Service Day is dedicated to engaging students in an array of community service activities, both off and on campus. Some of these activities include cleaning the fitness center and gyms of South High, writing letters to those who have served in the military as well as firemen and policemen, making stuffed animals for Syrian refugees, helping out in surrounding elementary schools, and writing appreciation notes for those living around and in the South High community. After participating in these activities, students are then rewarded with an all school rewards day for their hard work given in the morning. Both faculty and students agree that Service Day is a great way to start off the holiday break.
